I sit here with my own homemade blanket gently wrapped around my lap and my headphones playing the Messiah. Yes, it is a bit too early for Christmas music, but you can get away with listening to the Messiah in September especially when practices start up. I've thought long and hard about whether or not I should participate in the Messiah this year, and I've decided that I am going to do it because I didn't last year and I missed it a little. The Messiah to me feels like such a great way to start the Christmas season.
The other thing that I like about the Messiah is how it is all scripture so sometimes when I'm reading my Bible, I will come to some of the verses that are in the Messiah and I will always feel like singing them instead of reading them normally. Mom and I are memorizing Psalms 24 in school right now and the next verses that I'm going to be memorizing are, "Lift up your heads, oh ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the king of glory shall come in. Who is the king of glory? The Lord strong and Mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." I told Mom that I would be able to memorize those verses really easy since I already know them from the Messiah. That is an advantage with the Messiah.
Tommy is coming back home tonight. That might explain why I am randomly writing a blog post about the Messiah. William and I are both waiting up for Dad, Mom, and him to come home. I'm hoping they will be home sometime around 12, but I'm not sure. Its 11:23 right now and past my bedtime but its Friday. We are both on our computers and its not the most fun thing to do, but I'm glad to be writing another blog post. Plus, we can't watch a movie or play a game because we have to be quiet for Janeal who has to wake up early tomorrow. But, I'm still pretty excited to see Tommy again. Its been awhile now. The picture that I posted on Instagram the day he left finally says that I posted it 4 weeks ago which I have been waiting for it to say for awhile now.
I guess my blog post is going to be done now. I need to go look at that email and figure out what I need to do before the 1st Messiah practice, Monday.
P.S. Picking a title for blog posts is the hardest thing...

Friday Reivew
- I've been feeling in a blogging mood lately for some reason so I've decided to do a Friday review. And I'm going to going to say that I'm bringing Friday Review's back into the picture because knowing me, I'll say that and then the next week, I won't be in the blogging mood anymore.
- Does anyone know what expression: Crossing the Rubicon means? I thought I knew...but I was waaay off. haha
- Tomorrow is the Farmer's Day Parade which reminds me of last year when Dad and I went. We were walking over to the parade and Dad was saying, "I wonder if next year we will be going to watch this with the little twins." This time last year was about the time that Zach was talking about coming up here again. I can't tell you how happy I am that they are finally up here now. It feels like they have been here for whole time now.
- I have got a serious rash thing on my leg. #weird
- #DidYouLikeMyHashtag? #ITalkInHashtagsSometimes #JanealDoesntLikeItWhenIHashtag #SorryJaneal #OkayI'mDoneNow
- Haha I seriously will say hashtags all the time because I'm weird that way. ;)
- Today Dad came home and told me that we were going to clean the porch off. So I sprayed some stuff and Dad scrubbed it. ;)
- After I helped Dad, I got our old tripod out and took some wonderful pictures. Well, they look about the same but since I had weird settings, I had to use a tripod or else they would be all blurry.
- Here is something I learned this week: Do NOT watch 'The Boy in Stripped Pajamas' without a Kleenex. Just...don't. Next time I am going to plan on having a full box of kleenex by me.
- I've been thinking about Monday too because I have a piano recital that night. Yay for me. Hopefully I don't mess up like crazy...that would be embarrassing...haha.
- Well, I'm going to go bug Tommy now...

Friday Look back
Something Exciting: The thought that next week I'll be in Michigan. Hang on...I'll probably already be home by now so thats not exciting. But I am going to Michigan next week for my cousin, Tony's wedding. I'm so excited that I can go because I've met Mary and I kinda know her family since Emily is good friends with all of them. I'm pretty excited for it. :)
Something fun: It is warm enough for me to give Sparky his first bath of the year today.
Something embarrassing: putting baking soda in the lemon bars instead of baking powder. Big different there.
Something Spontaneous: Janeal and I went and watched Bible Quizzing today. It wasn't that spontaneous but it was fun to watch. I was kinda confused the whole time, but thankfully I sorta figured it out. :)
Something not cool: The thought that I'm going to have to wake up like at 4:20 on Wednesday in order to leave for the airport on time.
Something funny: I just figured out how to zoom in and out on my computer.

New post
So it has been awhile since I posted so I'm doing something I did last summer for a post. I like this kind of thing because its easy to think of. :) Okay, here we go:
Making: Well, I'm obviously not making anything because I'm on the computer, but I was just making some pretzels dipped in almond bark for tomorrow's Valentines day party that we are having with Zach and Karin.
Eating: Preztels dipped in almond bark. Um..yes, I manged to eat several as I worked. Now I'm stuffed.
Drinking: water. I have my water bottle sitting right by me. I've learned that if I don't have a water bottle close by me, then I'll never drink any water in the day.
Reading: I just started a new book yesterday, so we'll see how long I keep reading it. :)
Wanting: to find a nice black skirt for my cousin's wedding that is exactly one month away from today.
Looking: forward to my cousin's wedding in Michigan. Mom, Emily, Janeal, and I are going down there and I'm so excited for it.
Playing: with my nails. I always pick at them and then they never grow. I should stop that bad habit.
Wasting: time listening to this dumb add on Spotify.
Wishing: That my contacts would hurry and get here. So excited for them. :)
Enjoying: That most of my siblings are still living at home.
Waiting: for tomorrow because then I can really start making my Valentines cake and decorating for it. :)
Cherishing: the little nephews. I know they are soon going to grow up and that this little cute stage that they are in right now won't last forever.
Liking: my new hair cut except that now that it is short, it is really fluffy. I made it super fluffy for Janeal last night and she was laughing at it. Thats not nice....just kidding, I was laughing at it too.
Wondering: where I can find a new water bottle because mine is leaking hard core.
Loving: so many things
Missing: those early childhood days when my biggest worry was if Isabelle (my doll) had her pajamas on or her day time clothes. Haha, those were good days. :)
Hoping: that I'll have enough time to go read my book after I get this done. (don't worry, I probably will. :)
Needing: hmmm, I'm needing to get off of this computer. :)
Smelling: nothing really.
Wearing: my glasses, but not for long. :) My contacts are going to come next week and then I'll probably get new glasses as well. :)
Noticing: that I can't really hear my own music that I'm listening to over Janeal's loud piano. Haha :)
Thinking: That I'm listening to another dumb add on Spotify. I should update to Premium but, I'm to cheap to do something like that. :)
Feeling: happy thats its Valentines Day tomorrow. I love that holiday.
Craving: I'm not craving anything. I'm still to stuffed from those pretzels. :)

Friday Review
It is Saturday but whatever
- I'm doing this on Saturday because Friday was really busy so I didn't have time. Here are some things I did:
- Dad and I got 18 chicks! They are cute right now but probably won't be in awhile. I'm hoping for a sunny day soon so I can take them out for some pictures
- I made Rockey Road Fudge Bars for the boys and I felt guilty while I was making them. They are so packed with un-healthy ingredients that its just crazy. I like to make un-healthy things but not that un-healthy. The bottom layer is just a basic bar part and then the middle layer has cream cheese, butter, sugar, etc. with chocolate chips and marshmallows on top. Then the top layer is more chocolate. Its just really unhealthy.
- Mom and Janeal went to a women's retreat and the rest of us are home so after dinner we watched a movie. Then after that movie was done we watched another movie about a history guy. Has anyone here heard of Drive Thru History? It is about history but the guy who does it is funny so it is entertaining. :) I got to bed at 10:30 but then read a book in bed until 11:20. I would have kept reading because my book was so good but I was tired.
- So thats what I did yesterday!! :))
- Mom bought me a super soft, big, fluffy, fuzzy, super soft, blanket. Its so soft!!
- Well, I am going to go now because I probably should.
- BYE!!
