Randomness

The trees from the outside are gently swinging around making a water ripple kind of  shadow on the wall in front of me while I type this.

School has started again for me. I started on Tuesday and so far I like it. I'm doing just normal school...nothing exotic but I still enjoy it. This is my 2nd to last year.

Piano lessons are starting up the end of this month. Poulenc and Chopin have been on my mind since I'm hoping to play a their music during adjudications and playoffs this year.

This time last week all the lighters were out except for a few that the generator had turned on. We happened to be out of power for close to 3 days. When it finally came back on again on Monday I let out a sigh of thankfulness but also sadness because I love the power being out but at the same time I can't stand it. I guess you would call it a love/hate relationship.

I've been motivated this week to get a 50 mm. lens for 'my' camera. But looking for one and knowing the right kind to get is harder then I thought it would be.

Last Sunday while the power was out, Emily, Janeal, William, and I decided to have a small party over at Michael's since his power was on. We loaded up several different kind of snack foods along with probably all the board/games we own and of course an extra table and chairs and headed over to Michael's. It was a really fun evening playing board games with friends and of course playing Balderdash with everyone at the end made everyone laugh. That game is always a good game for a lot of laughing.

A year ago today, I went to the store with Mom and Janeal and bought a little eye shadow pallet that had 3 eye shadows, a very cheap eyeliner, some mascara, and some sparkly eye shadow and then the next day (Sunday) I wore makeup for the first time in public. That was a fun day because I had finally hit the 103 lbs. mark on the scale and finally I could wear makeup. I'd defiantly learned a lot about makeup and I love doing all sorts of different things with my makeup. Maybe I should start a YouTube channel a beauty blog. Hmm..good idea.

A year ago also head another significant thing. Zach and Karin made their way up from Florida to stay here. I have had so much fun getting to know all of them better. I'm so thankful for the way God worked out all the small details so they could come up here. Tomorrow a year ago was when I took pictures of the twins of them in their Big Brother T-shirts and a strand of ultrasound pictures of baby Dwight. Then this whole month a year ago was when the all the work parties at Zach's house began. Wall paper peeling, hot steamers that would steam up your glasses, snapple drinks and sour patch kids, painting, Oreo's, the twins and Karin stopping in every once in a while, laughing and sometimes groaning like the once when Zach found out there was another wall of wallpaper on a wall we thought was already taken care of, Owl City, eating chili in a cup, mirrors that would swing out so I could see several of myself, the B's and Madison who came and helped out, and a check sheet on the fridge that slowly got checked off. All of those things reminds me of those fun days working at Zach's.

Tommy comes home in 2 weeks. I got to FaceTime him today. He seems to be doing well although I can't wait for him to be home again. Five weeks is a long time to go without seeing him.

This week my family and I watched, Ben Hur. I've only known the name and never the story so I was in suspense of what was going to happen the whole time we were watching it. Its a great movie (the 1959 version)  and a great story. Now I want to read the book.

Reminiscing throughout the years Part 3

Are ya'll enjoying these? I know that I have already done my reminiscing posts for these years but I can always find more pictures that I like! :) Here we go again in 2008:
Valentines day! I was so happy with my outfit because it was super
valentine-y

Janeal and I made a playdough pizza!

I drew this on the board one day

We went to Granny and Papa's to cut down a tree
and Granny watched Michael cutting it down with this
nervous expression the whole time.

Granny and Papa

So, we did get some honey from the bees but not much. Well,
I guess it was enough to eat! I ate alot of the of honey on the'honey day' and felt
sick in the evening. Hahaha.

I don't know what I was doing here but I liked this picture because
it just goes to show that I always wear Janeal's coats outside! No wonder
Janeal never has any coats....

Janeal and Papa's birthdays!

This was my favorite kid, Banjo. He was so cute!

Reminiscing throughout the years Part 2

We're going down memory lane once again in 2007!! :)
During a snowstorm all of us kids decided to go down the road and
build some nice snowmen for Dad when he got home. :)

These simple kind of pictures are my favorite! (plus I liked our table.....)

Spending time with Fallon was always fun

William, Tommy, Dad, and I making bee hives!

Granny and Papa seeing us off one visit.

After Janeal took this picture she said, "I wasn't taking
it of you guys! I was taking it of the flowers outside on the
picnic table."
oh...well, we posed anyway.

These bees didn't last long. We tired having bee hives but it never worked.

Nights like these were always enjoyed!

William, Tommy, and I all baking at once!

Dad reading us a story

Strawberry day!

This is when I tried milking the goat. I was actually not bad at
it but I never had enough strength to finish.

Zach making a sign for the 4th of July. We thought it
was soo funny

Hay day!

Robbie came over and filmed while we acted out Big Brother Tom.
His camera got stolen that night though so we had to re-film.

Fallon and I in our Big Brother Tom outfits

My 9th birthday!

William, Tommy, Zach, and I just sitting in the family room throwing
the football around. I love William's face in this one! He probably
looks so scared because I just threw it to him! hahaha

I did a piano recital for my family and I was so nervous!! I was shaking
so bad and making mistakes. But, I think I got about a dollar out of it and 2
chocolates so it was worth it.

"They're here! They're here!" I called as I came dashing back from my watching post.
Our first big 4th of July party was so much fun!!

All the kids on the 4th.

Let Freedom Ring!!
Part 3 will probably be coming shortly!

Kid quote

Spring of 2002

Caroline (while eating cereal one morning): Why do you love me?
Dad: Because you're my sweet baby girl. Why do you love me?
Caroline: Because you're my famous friend.
